John & Andrea's Wedding Day.

Well hello everyone! It certainly has been quite a long time since we last said hi, or posted anything here to our blog. This isn’t to say that we were short of any work to share with you all. We definitely had plenty of opportunities and captured some amazing moments throughout the year with the weddings and engagement shoots we were apart of. That isn’t it at all.

As we all know, 2020 hit hard. It was a weird and confusing time for most, all propelled by the Covid pandemic to start. Life had stopped. The days turned into weeks which turned into months, of an every growing time of uncertainty. Life ebb and flowed, and with that presented new challenges in all aspects of what we all once knew as “normal.”

In the photography industry here that we are a small part of, it was no different. All prior work scheduled headed into 2020 quickly became a logistical nightmare for all those involved. Now, we aren’t full time in this business by any means, so personally we were able to make better of the situation and not be as impacted. However, that certainly wasn’t the case for everyone, and certainly no less of a confusing and unfortunate situation for all those couples who had their eyes set on their wedding days throughout 2020.

We had 5 on the books, 2 of which ended up being rescheduled to 2021. I can’t say the the 3 remaining went on without a hitch, but the couples involved were determined, resilient, and all so very accommodating to the ever changing local/national guidelines.

This brings us to our first wedding of the year. Our first scheduled regardless of how the year started out. The day belonged to John and Andrea, who despite facing probably the most uncertainty due to the proximity of their date to the start of this whole thing, made it one for them to remember. With a venue change to a tented event in Andrea’s parent’s backyard, a reduction in guest count, and even some spotty weather, didn’t stop these two from gathering in front of friends and family to say their “I Do’s.” It was definitely one of those “make the best of a bad situation” type of scenarios, which played out beautifully for the two.

Now, let me get out of the way here with all this typing and let you all get on with viewing their wedding day through the photos.

Thank you all once again. So very happy and good to be back!
